Farm on the North Road

Up past a cemetery, an enclosure of trees suddenly opens up to the view north and I’m drawn to the clutch of buildings with tin roofs. It’s one of these Vermont farms where the family home is on one side of the road and the working farm is across the way. It was most likely here long before the road bisected the property. Rather than succumb to progress it adapted.
