Interior with Birds

This friend’s classic cape sits just down the road from our house. During late spring afternoons sun pours into the sitting room, causing this curious collection to create dancing shadows against vintage wallpaper. While the scene evokes distinct memories for our friends I have no doubt that others just like it exist in countless sitting rooms across New England.
