Tulips, Venus, and Kahn

At the bottom of our stairs a pastel of Friendship ME by Wolf Kahn and a bronze Venus-like figure hang above a bowl and vase of tulips on an inherited mahogany table. My studio is through the door to the left and up the red staircase. On this morning, the light hit the tulips just right as I was on my way to “work.” I had actually planned on working on a different piece that day but this happy little distraction pulled me in an entirely different direction.
