Commission a Painting
Each year I take on a few commissions, and I always enjoy the journey. A commission is a conversation, really: you bring your vision, I bring my brushes, and together we make something neither of us could have done alone.
Here’s how it unfolds: once we settle on a composition, I ask for a 50% deposit before I begin. When the painting is finished, I’ll send a digital image for your review. At that point, small adjustments can be made—just enough to be sure the piece feels truly yours. Once approved, the final payment is collected.
Commissioned works are in line with my gallery pricing, typically $10,000 to $18,000 for a large-scale painting. Portraits, with their extra nuances, may carry an additional cost.
If you’d like to explore the idea of a commission, don’t hesitate to call or email. I’d be glad to hear what you have in mind.
