Mark Island Light

This lighthouse sits out at the entrance to Winter Harbor, which is east of Mt Desert. My sailing partner Spennie had a brother-in-law there who we sailed up to visit. The lighthouse and the island were for sale so we investigated, peering into windows and wandering the couple acres of scrub and grass and rock. This painting is as close as I got to owning it. Dream on.
