Monhegan Fish Shacks

From Dinghy Beach, just behind the shacks, fishermen set out from their skiffs to their boats in the harbor in search of today’s catch. The shacks serve multiple purposes — a place to maintain traps and skiffs, a refuge on those mornings when the winds blow the rains in horizontally from the sea, or a venue to trade stories over steaming mugs of strong black coffee.
