Seguin Island

This spit of land is located at the mouth of the Kennebec River and just offshore from Bath Iron Works, birthplace of countless U.S naval vessels. But don’t let her small size fool you—she’s an important landmark. The light sitting atop the highest point on the Island can be seen for many miles and has prevented more than a few ships from running aground. During this particular voyage we passed between the island and the mainland, going over a 16-foot spot that cause the swells to rise up dramatically.
