Flurries in South Pomfret

from $525.00

Looking out over Suicide Six, home to the first lift in the US. It was primitive by today’s standards—an old rope tow powered by a Ford Model T engine, originally located on Gilbert Hill, just on the other side of the hill in this image. Bunny Bertram moved it over to the steeper, Hill #6 seen here, with its 1,200 feet of elevation, a few years later. I’ve had countless runs down the short steep face. It’s one of my favorite winter rituals.
