Blue Hill Bay

A returning lobster boat draws a dark blue line in the still waters of the bay, also marked by “cats paws” as clouds build up over Mt. Desert at the day’s end. You can feel the remnants of the morning’s weather begin to dissipate. This anonymous lobsterman will likely follow the same path tomorrow, the day after, and for as many days after that as there are waves along the shore. That’s the endless dance these men do on the water.
