Little Cranberry Beach

This southwest-facing bay cuts a gentle arc along the main coast, with centuries of prevailing winds and the resulting waves pushing up mounds of sand and beach stones. The only thing capable of growing in this inhospitable slurry are the rugosas, whose sturdiness allows them to thrive in virtually any environment.
