Our 1951 General Electric with the accumulated magnets, cards, photos, as notable for the slices of life it displayed as it was for the meals it held. Sadly it started freezing our vegetables so we had to replace it with a more reliable model. I first encountered this model at a friend’s house who had a catering business. When I stopped in front of it and declared “this is exactly the same refrigerator I grew up with in the 50’s!”, she insisted I have it.
